Nature Nurtures; Encountering Spring Wildlife

Updated: Dec 10, 2022

Nature Nurtures is a column in our local news paper the Lake County Press which I voluntarily write for. To purchase a subscription to the Lake County Press click on the link below, or purchase copies at any of several Two Harbors establishments.

Living here in the northern wilderness, we get to encounter wildlife more often than most. Spring is especially busy with sightings as animals are mating, migrating, birthing, and waking from winters slumber. Food becomes plentiful again, and activities and movements are much less conspicuous. Knowing some of the common behaviors and life cycles of our most common encountered wildlife can help aid in having positive interactions with them.
