This package includes native and cultivated perennial plants that will fill in a larger designated space where little disturbance will allow the plants to spread and thrive, creating a full and vibrant pollinator habitat.
2 - 2" pots Jacob's Ladder (Polemonium spp.) Fern-like foliage surrounds 1 - 2 Foot tall stems of brilliant blue flowers. Blooms June - late summer.
2 - 4" pots Cup Plant (Silphium perfoliatum) Multiple bright yellow daisy-like flowers top of 6 - 10 Foot tall uniquely square stems. Leaves form "cups" where they emerge from the stem, collecting rain water as a small reservoir for birds and insects.
2 - 4" pots Black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta) Bright yellow flowers with dark centers atop 2 foot tall plants which tolerate many different soil conditions. Blooming mid-summer until frost, these plants will fill out any space they are given by self seeding year after year.
2 - 2" pots Giant Hyssop (Agastache urticifolia) 5 Foot tall plants full of purple spikes that attract hummingbirds, butterflies and many native bee species.
1 - 2" pot Wild Oregano (Origanum vulgare) Dark green aromatic leaves are more pungent and medicinal than the more common culinary plant. Used as a beautiful and bountiful ground cover, purple stems grow up to 1 Foot tall attracting bees and butterflies alike.
Pollinator Pack-In Package (Full to Part Sun)
Plants are available for pick-up no sooner than May 22nd. This is to ensure proper growth and acclimation to the outdoor growing environment. You will receive an email to confirm your purchase and coordinate a pick-up time and location. Plants can be picked up at Little Waldo Farm, Two Harbors Farmers Market, and local delivery can be an option for those in need.
